Decision fatigue is often mislabeled as burnout or poor leadership. In reality, it is usually a data problem. When leaders do not have clear weekly numbers, every decision feels heavier than it should. They second guess. They seek consensus. They delay calls that should be simple. Clear data removes emotion from decisions. Ownership removes debate. When leaders know what success looks like and can see it weekly, decisions shorten. Meetings get smaller. Confidence increases. This is not about personality or experience. It is about structure. When information is late or unclear, leaders carry the cognitive load. When information is clean and timely, the system carries it instead.
If decisions feel heavier than they should, DM Strategy or book a Strategic Review.
